Sourcing Advisory: A Note for Wholesale and OEM Buyers
If you are developing a latex mattress collection for wholesale, retail, or OEM distribution, density should not be judged in isolation. Comfort target, market positioning, layer structure, and manufacturing consistency all matter equally. A D85 mattress built with inconsistent vulcanization performs worse than a well-manufactured D75. Factory quality and process control are as important as the density specification itself.
Before finalising your density specification, consider requesting a factory audit, density certification test reports, and product samples across at least two density levels. This protects your brand and reduces quality disputes after delivery.
